Jorge Vidal

National/International Bilingual Trainer

Highly recommend Cristina for her exceptional ability to guide individuals through a transformative journey of power reclamation, rooted in principles of liberation and racial equity. Her insightful/reflective coaching techniques and unwavering commitment to fostering empowerment have had a profound impact on my personal and professional growth. I've been able to navigate and challenge systemic barriers, reclaiming agency over my narrative and identity. I am incredibly grateful for her mentorship and wholeheartedly recommend Cristina to anyone seeking to embark on a journey of empowerment and liberation.

“Cristina is an extremely talented coach! I chose to work with her because her liberatory and healing-centered approach aligned with my own values. She supported me during a time in my career when I really needed guidance to embody my own gifts, talents, and authentic leadership style. As I was navigating a turbulent workplace, she helped me to shift out of that space and take a leap of faith into my own practice. I highly recommend her to anyone who may be needing support! She walks the talk—she has demonstrated to me how we can be social justice advocates and still thrive in our own business practices. I learned a lot from her and look forward to receiving her support again in the future.”

Cristina is a brilliant, patient and important educator. After every session with her I felt excited to explore my power deeper. She poses focused questions and listens to responses with intent. Her authenticity & sincerity always made feel like she genuinely cared about my growth. The most valuable benefit I gained from working with her was how to confidently reclaim my voice as an empowered leader in my field. Cristina is a gem and I am deeply grateful for her work.

“Cristina's authentic approach to Liberatory work struck an immediate chord with me. It was the first instance in my adult life where I truly felt acknowledged and listened to. Through her social media posts and courses, I swiftly realized the potential for change, unlearning, and personal growth. My interaction with Cristina has evolved into a reciprocal and multi-faceted connection. After following her on Instagram for some time, I reached out and extended an invitation for her to speak at an annual Latina event I organize. Subsequently, our foundation invited her to address a cohort gathering. Most recently, I had the privilege to participate in the Conscious & Liberatory Workshop. The experience surpassed my expectations, instilling in me a sense of self-compassion as I embarked on my journey of decolonization. Cristina's approach is inviting, and her mere presence is reassuring.

I enthusiastically endorse Cristina to individuals and institutions seeking a path of self-awareness. Her approach invites introspection and her demeanor offers comfort. If you are considering a journey of self-discovery, Cristina comes highly recommended.”

“Cristina’s workshop is so empowering as she really makes opportunities for you to reflect and to really consider how you participate in oppressive organizational dynamics even when you don’t think you do. Since her workshop, I am more aware of my own power and am much more confident and empowered to become the type of leader I know my organization needs. Cristina’s facilitating style is so collective and conversational that often times I found myself learning from other participants in the workshop as much as I was learning from her. Her leadership in that space inspired me to continue my journey to become a compassionate leader that seeks liberation for the people I work with and the communities we serve.”

“Cristina guided me through a season of personal and professional transformation. I had just left a job I loved of 10 years, but that no longer served me. She led a small cohort of women and I through a 6-week "Healing Identity and Reclaiming Sovereignty" program. Through this program she introduced me to new modalities of healing and understanding of self. Every session left me peeling back a new layer of myself to reflect on, to feel, to embody. It took me on a journey to further connect to ancestral knowledge and my inner child. Cristina is simply brilliant. She leads fearlessly yet with so much vulnerability. She is able to lead in this way because she's gone through it herself. If you've reached a point in your career/life, where you want to show up as authentically you and want to embody your fullest vibrancy, Cristina is the coach to work with. Expect to be challenged and moved forward in your way of thinking. This is the way of integrity- if this is what you choose. I am grateful to call this woman a friend. Life is so much richer because of how she chooses to serve. Forever in admiration of you, Cristina. Thanks for all that you do to support women of color.”

“I had the privilege of working with Cristina Garcia as her mentee throughout 2021 and 2022. During our time together I participated in her Healing Identity & Reclaiming Our Sovereignty 6-week program and group mentorship community.

Throughout my time under Cristina’s guidance, I was able to experience the qualities that make her such a powerful leader. These qualities include—her rich lived experience as a daughter of immigrants, her engaging teaching style, her ability to help us connect the dots between our individual experiences and the larger socio/political landscape in the United States, and her empathic and straightforward communication style.

Witnessing Cristina’s leadership style, both vulnerable and confident, completely revolutionized my own perception of what a leader could be like. For the first time in my professional life, as a first generation immigrant and brown woman myself, I felt I could be my authentic self and be understood by someone in a leadership role. I witnessed the power of being in a safe environment with likeminded people who encouraged me to practice using my authentic voice and sharing my boldest dreams and hopes.

As a result of my time with Cristina and the group mentorship community, I was able to make one of the boldest decisions of my career thus far, leaving my full-time job to pursue my entrepreneurial goals. It was powerful to have a community to lean on for support, guidance, and encouragement when I needed it most. I’m forever grateful to have crossed paths with Cristina and can’t rave about her enough! I’m fully confident that working with her will be one of the best experiences you ever had! I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again in the future."

“I sincerely recommend Cristina Garcia as a mentor and coach for anyone who has concluded they want to change their approach in their relationship with work or work colleagues. And whats incredible about the impact of Cristina's guidance is that if you focus on just that one relationship, the advice and practice she gives will ultimately touch other parts of your life. The change she coaches you on is deep internal work, and it will not stay separate from your whole self.

My mentorship journey started by Cristina giving me exercises to find my voice. Second was being accustomed to the discomfort of using my voice, which she encouraged and supported me through her knowledge of somatic practices. Lastly, she created reflection exercises that ensured my progress was still in alignment with my original goal.

She has given me language in decolonizing leadership practices at my workplace. I feel empowered to be myself at work. I have the confidence to continue using my voice to disrupt harmful and/or unquestioned practices. And from this new sense of empowerment, when I encounter resistance or overwhelm, I am not paralyzed into inaction. Cristina has taught me that I can disrupt and interrupt anywhere along a system of oppression and it will impact it."

“Hey Cristina!! I wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! For the consultation. Just being in a space with you again —DAMN!— I felt so alive again and just remembered how powerful I felt the last time we worked together and being in the spaces you created. I remember everything I learned from you and from being in those spaces and being in community with you and the people who were attracted to those spaces you created. Oh how my heart misses that and sings with joy with what I took away from all of that!! I think I got what I needed for now to move forward with what I’ve been struggling with. I really can’t thank you enough for how much you’ve given me by modeling the liberatory leadership that you do. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!”

“Working with Cristina transformed my life and I am enormously grateful. I am proud of the work we did together, from meeting and conspiring to make this coaching journey possible for me to finally completing our work together recently. We connected easily each week, and I was ready to steep in her wisdom for an hour. She identified blocks where I was limiting growth, affirmed my self awareness and my authentic internal voice, and showing me so many concrete examples in my life to assist me in discerning them in real time. We worked through challenges on every level from interpersonal and relational dynamics to nervous system awareness and staying grounded. The sheer number of skills, lenses, frameworks, and tools I received during our coaching has set me up to succeed in leading and creating my life and my future, beyond my job or work. I’m more integrated, embodied and prepared to resist the systems and structures that are not built to see my brilliance. For my self, my family, and for my community. I was ready and Cristina showed up with me, inspiring me to evolve into more wholeness as a person who leads. Thank you so much for this liberating and paradigm shifting experience.”

“Cristina is honest, transparent, and intentional in the work that she does to dismantle systems of oppression. Her work resonates with a lot of my work and I wanted to work with someone who understands the Latinx community and women of color empowerment. Don't hesitate to reach out to Cristina to work with her. You won't regret it. She meets you where you are at in your life and career. She is very empathetic, encouraging, and encourages you out of your comfort zone. She helps you snap out of your imposter syndrome and remind you of your Chingona greatness!”

“It was truly refreshing to see an initiative that genuinely and comprehensively addressed a significant issue within our organization. This was the first time I've encountered a training that delved deeply into the problem and provided practical solutions.”

“The presentation is a great way to start conversations amongst our organization around Women's Liberation and to evaluate where each person's knowledge and understanding is around systems of oppression that we face and enforce with our privilege.”

“Cristina's coaching played a crucial role in my journey of reflection, unlearning, and transition. Together, we worked on refining my identity, core values, convictions, intuition, boundaries, and power, particularly as a Latinx leader navigating the complex political landscape in Idaho. During the absence of the former executive director, Cristina helped ground me in turning inward and engaging in a period of reflection. As a Latina non-profit leader, I recognized how I had unwittingly perpetuated and upheld systems and practices of white supremacy. I had unintentionally become engulfed in a continuous cycle of over-professionalizing, over-producing, and over-delivering to meet the high demands of funders and external pressures. Her guidance was instrumental in fostering intentional self-awareness, particularly in moments when I was susceptible to imposter syndrome. This awareness allowed for a more fluid experience in both my body and delivery and I was able to sync well with my fellow co-leader who is deeply rooted and guided in the same practices. This internal transformation helped our leadership styles flow in a synchronized way and we have created positive and long-lasting changes that embodied our authentic selves and stayed in alignment with the vision of the Collective Stewardship..”

“This presentation helped me gain a better understanding on Women’s Liberation. I was already slightly familiar with the term “Decolonized Lens,” but had never taken a training where it was applied to Women's Liberation. Having the training being taught by another Latinx woman also helped me feel very connected to the topics being brought up and even helped me put into words a lot of my feelings and experiences I have dealt with working for women-led non profit.”
